About Me

lee_chadwickI am a Nottingham based (Lancashire born) stickmaker specialising in walking staffs, fruit picking sticks and wading staffs. I work during the day as a web designer so stickmaking has become a very welcome diversion from my day job, being the antithesis of sitting in front of a computer all day.

I am a keen walker and outdoors enthusiast and can regularly be found wandering the hills of Derbyshire’s dark peak or on one of the UK’s many long distance trails.

I try and source my materials from within the UK, sourcing most of my antler from Exmoor and occasionaly the Scottish highlands. I source my shafts either from specialist suppliers or I cut my own when I get the chance. I am very keen to hear from UK coppice owners / woodsman, who may be able to supply me with freshly cut shafts ready for seasoning. I am keen to support the UK coppice industry.

I will be cutting a new crop of shafts this winter and hope to replenish my dwindling hazel stock to keep me busy the following winter.

I am always interested to hear from fellow stickmakers and anyone who is able to supply me with antler and shafts, particularly blackthorn, crab apple, hazel, holly and especially any interesting ‘twistys’.

If you are interested in purchasing one of my sticks or would like to commision a stick, drop me an email at lee@leechadwick.com
