So… How long should your walking stick be?
All of the walking sticks on this site can be shortened to suit your height and requirements.

The length of a walking stick  is usually down to personal preference and walking style but in general, the following rules of thumb will give you the basic idea.

Market Sticks / Cardigan Sticks
For the country person or hiker, the ideal length should be to your naval. This will allow the stick to swing naturally in the hand but will be long enough for you to lean on.

Thumbstick / Wading staffs
The ideal height should be to have the base on the thumbstic vee (where you rest your thumb) at the height of your armpit.

Ordering
Apart from ordering through this website, you can also make purchases by cheque by calling me on 07747 444 692.  Please note that for cheque purchases, items will not be despatched until the payment has cleared at my Bank.

Contract
No contract will exist between Lee Chadwick and the customer until I confirm acceptance of the order and it has been shipped.  An e-mail will be sent to confirm the order.

Delivery
Subject to the proviso on cheque payments, I  will endeavour to complete orders within 3 working days, often sooner, and all items will be sent by first class recorded post.  It is essential that we are provided with the correct postal address and that someone is able to sign acknowledging delivery.

As soon as an order has been despatched, a confirmatory e-mail will be sent.   Should a delivery not be received within three working days of notification, please advise and I will investigate and contact you accordingly.

Cancellation
Your order can be cancelled at any time before it is despatched.

Also, under the Distance Selling Regulations, your right to cancel is extended to seven days after receipt of the goods.  If you wish to cancel within those seven days, please notify me immediately in writing or by e-mail.  Any items then returned to me must be in their original condition, correctly packaged and sent at the customer’s expense.

Replacements
I hope that all my items reach you in perfect condition and that you are perfectly satisfied with your purchase from me.  In the event of a problem, please contact me immediately by e-mail with full details and if necessary, to arrange for a replacement or refund.  This will be provided upon receipt of the faulty item.  In these circumstances, I will refund any postage costs that you may have incurred.

Returns
For any products returned under the above options, please note the following:

They should be properly packaged,  with full details of the reason for the return together with any labels of authenticity.
